Istanbul Princes' Islands

Hi. Exactly 2 weeks ago today, I was traveling to Istanbul. Yes, I know this is a long overdue blog post, but I had over 1000 pictures to edit, so cut me some slack.
Also, I had a hard time recovering from the traumatizing experience that people call flying.  If you read this post you probably know that even being in a cable car is like a near-death experience for me.
I hate losing control, I hate being stuck in a cramped space up in the air and whatever people might say it doesn't get better with time. It actually gets worse. Last time when I flew on a plane I was a lot calmer, this time around I had a panic attack that felt like a stroke.
Any tips on how to overcome flight anxiety?

Anyway, let's talk about my trip to Istanbul. Istanbul is officially the 6th most visited city in the world, it also has a population of 14.1 million, so you can imagine how crowded the city can be.
In case you were wondering if Istanbul would be a good city break destination, know that for me it wasn't. You need to take a break to charge your batteries prior to coming here because you will need fully charged batteries to explore this remarkable city.

My fiance and I spent 4 short days in Istanbul and because there was so much to see we had to walk for about 10-11 hours a day. The weather in April was a bit chilly, but it was actually the perfect weather for touring the city on foot.
It was nothing like a break, it was more like a marathon. Gotta visit'em all!

It was definitely worth it though. Istanbul is fascinating, affordable and truly unique! The city located on two continents has something for everyone. The endless liveliness of Istanbul, the food, the markets, the amazing sights such as the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace, the Bosphorus cruise, will win you over.

I will not show you the chaos of the city in today's post however. We will take things slow and embark on a virtual trip to Princes' Islands.
The Prince Islands, are a chain of nine islands off the coast of Istanbul, Turkey, in the Sea of Marmara.

We took the ferry to the largest of the Princes' Islands, Buyukada, and even though the island is only one hour away from Istanbul it's feels worlds apart.

The cars are banned here so transport is either by foot, bike or horse-drawn carriage. We decided to explore the island by foot to make sure I pet all the stray cats we take in all the architectural richness of the island. There are so many beautiful old mansions and villas with such elaborate decorations, trim gardens, that will take you back in the time tunnel a full century.
Stay tuned for more photos from my trip to Istanbul later this week!

Dolmabahce Mosque is located in the south of Dolmabahce Palace, in Besiktas, on the European coast of Bosphorus.

V for Vintage 12th edition

In weekendul 5-6 aprilie a avut loc V for Vintage Portobello Market, doua zile in care cultura vintage si designul romanesc au avut epicentrul la Sala Dalles.

Childhood memories

You probably can't tell just by looking at these pictures, but this isn't just an ordinary park for me. It was my brother and I precious playground. Before my family moved to a different neighborhood this was the park I used to go to every weekend for 4-5 years. I have so many beautiful memories here, I can't believe it took me 20 years to come back and visit. Funny how sometimes you can't remember what you had for dinner the day before, yet you seem to remember everything about your favorite childhood place.
I am so glad I took this wonderful stroll down memory lane yesterday.

I am wearing a Koton shirt, Lashez skirt, BB-up wedges, Rokoko bag and Meli Melo/ H&M bracelets.

Black and white stripes

Happy Birthday, Mom! I don't know if you remember this, but back when I first started my blog, 4 years ago, my mom was the one taking my photos for the blog. She took my photos for almost 2 years and even though I was obnoxious and a pain in the booty sometimes she never stopped helping me out with my blog.
I wouldn't have made it so far without her support. Actually, I wouldn't have made it so far in life without her support and endless love. Everyone says this, but I truly believe that I have the best mom in the world.

Now, about today's post. These pictures were taken in the garden of Theodor Pallady's Museum.
This museum is situated in one of the oldest civilian building in BucharestRomania.
The Melik house was built in the 1750s and in 1994 the house became the Pallady Museum.
You should definitely stop by the museum and take a look at some remarkable paintings and drawings done by the famous Romanian painter, Theodor Pallady.
I am wearing a Lashez skirt, Deichmann pumps, Mango blazer, vintage necklace and Marilyn Monroe printed bag.

Printed high-waist pants

Hi! I woke up early this Sunday morning and thought I should do some work around the house blogging. The weather this weekend has been wonderful so far. It made me realize I shouldn't waste precious time indoors doing chores. Actually, I plan on finishing this blog post as soon as possible and enjoy this splendid day. I recommend you do the same.

Meli Melo INCA girl collection

Hi. I have a confession to make. I've been a stalker this whole week. I waited and I waited like a predator and finally when the rain stopped, I made my move. Bond girls would have been jealous of me. Well, they are jealous of my ninja skills and I am jealous of INCA girl. Meli Melo's newest collection is inspired by the relaxed and wistful Inca woman who enjoys talking a walk on mountain paths and admiring the old ruins, as well as South America's traditional style.

Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, and Chile, territories that form the Inca empire, are relocating for a little while inside Meli Melo Paris stores.

The newest collection, INCA girl, will be available on March 10th in all of the 40 stores in Romania, Bulgaria and in Republic of Moldova, but also online at www.melimelo.ro

I had the privilege of admiring the pieces of the INCA girl's collection sooner and fell madly in love with this tribal embroidered print clutch. The bright colors and texture of this clutch sure make it unique. Scroll down for more spectacular South America's style inspired accessories.

Romanian

Buna!
